If you continue driving south along the side of the cliff at Torrey Pines, then you will have arrived at the beach of the Black Beach, which is the only "clothing optional" in San Diego. While there is a staircase leading down to Beach of Black is a better idea to access it through Torrey Pines Beach.

If you want to really feel the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, then you need to rent a kayak and head of La Jolla Cove. This allows you to take amazing sight of preserving ecological underwater La Jolla ecological preserve. Here you will find calm waters and beautiful sea kelp forests below. Among the sights you'll see include Lions and many types of fish of the State of California. There is no clearer water in Southern California that this area and is very popular with snorkelers and divers.
